With Alex Rodriguez having voided the final three years of his contract with the New York Yankees, which his agent chose to announce during the final game of this year's World Series, A-Rod will now be a free agent. As he ventures forth into the marketplace, ready to sell his services to the highest bidder, we loyal fans of the World Champion Boston Red Sox appeal to the ownership and management of the Red Sox to not sign A-Rod.

Let him peddle his wares for another team. Let him hang out with bleached-blonde strippers on someone else's dime. Let him come up empty in the playoffs for some other fan base. Let him slap at opposing pitchers and yell at opposing rookies while wearing some other team's uniform. Just please don't sign A-Rod to play for the hometown Sox.
